Euro Help

Don't do a 3d printed one. They make some great plaster ones you can get from any taxidermy website. I did a plastic one on a whitetail and hate it.
That’s an interesting alternative. Do you have a link to one you’ve used? I have a guy that could do my moose euro for $275 but I was just trying to save some scratch

Youd easily be around half that to purchase the plaster one and shipping (its heavy). No way id buy that if u already had the real skull just to save 150 bucks.

Yeah I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the bases when it showed up yesterday

I take electrical tape and go around the base a number of times, then I wrap the base with tinfoil and wrap that with duct tape. That has done a good job of keeping the bases from fading.

It is difficult to get the skull of a moose completely under the water bc of how they grow out.

I’ve used heavy hair bleach on the skull to get it real white. I basically painted it on and then wrapped it in tinfoil and let sit for a few days

If you already have it home I would try and keep the real skull over saving a few dollars.

I think a fake skull makes sense when you can save the cost of the euro or the hassle and cost of getting an intact moose shipped home and having to euro it.

Yep I ended up getting it handled. My guy is going to hook me up for cheap since it’s been pretty well prepped. Think I’ll practice on a few antelope skulls I have at home and not risk screwing up a once in a lifetime moose to save a few bucks
