ER, Shaw Barrels- How good are they?

I wondered how good ER Shaw barrels were. What kind of accuracy has been gotten out of them? They only do 1 in 8,10 or 12 twists in a 308 Cal. Will the 1 in 8 work for 208 to 240 grainers, or will there be some problems with the twist?

I'm a newbie here, I'm excited and looking forward to getting replies.

I only have experience with them for a 10/22 - where they are good barrels. For sure an upgrade on the stock barrel but not the very top of the line.

I have seen folks on the Rimfire boards state that ER Shaw is an upgrade for the Ruger Predators, so if I were building or rebarreling I would have no problem trusting a Shaw barrel.

That said I think 1/8 will be better for 240gr, while you probably want 1/10 for 208/215. Are you looking to shoot subs out of it?

I have a couple of Shaw AR barrels. One in 556 that did this over the weekend with 60c/round aac ammo:

I have another in 6arc that shoots pretty well, too.

I have one chambered in 22-250ai that is almost shot out but has been a great barrel. Was easy to shoot moa with 75amax and 88elds. I'd buy another from them without issue.
