Epoxy painting garage floor

In our market (Coastal SC) polyaspartic coating is what goes down and its about $6/ft without moving stored items. Slabs are ground before application of the base coat, then flakes, then clear.

I use the grey garage floor paint from HD in my garage converted to man cave.
No problems whatsoever. Easy to touch up if needed.

Moved into new construction May 2021 and always wanted an epoxy garage floor. Found a local guy who got it done for a great price. Highly recommend it, not just to enhance the appearance of the garage, but to make the garage floor easier to clean and more durable to the regular wear and tear that typically occurs with plain concrete garage floors over time.

Anyone have opinions/suggestions about having the epoxy go all the way to the outside to meet the blacktop, vs stopping at the garage door line and just sealing the exterior section?

Aesthetically, would probably look best if it extended all the way to the outside to meet the asphalt, though keep in mind that water + epoxy floor = slip hazard. Just be extra careful if it rains!

Don't extend out if it's real epoxy as the sun will turn it yellow. Or if that doesn't bother you then it's fine. A poly product shouldn't yellow though.
