Enough Gap for Scope and Rail?

The long action 700 base for my 7mm STW makes getting clearance for medium rings tricky. I can get a comfortable shoulder and good FOV in this position but scope bell is pretty close to rail.

Good to go?

These are basically completely ridgid objects. We've all seen videos of barrel whip but nothing like that is happening at the receiver, and certainly not the rail.

Like the others have said, your fine. It looks to me like you have a couple credit card thickness's of clearance +/- and that's plenty. But.......if it bothers you, you can take a fine tooth file and bevel that 90* corner just a touch to gain a little more space. Cold blue if it's a steel rail or black sharpie if it's aluminum.

Mounts and scopes flex. More likely the mount though. And, in particular, a cantilever style vs rings on a pic rail. There are Youtube videos. I bet your setup is fine as is.
