Enhancing and Preserving Elk Antler Color

Does anybody use or know of a treatment such as a spray varnish or oil that will enhance/preserve the color on elk, deer, and moose antlers. Not in velvet.

Potassium permanganate (sp) will recolor/enhance the natural color. It will go on purple then turn brown. Add more for a darker color. Purchase from McKenzie or any other Taxidermy supply company.
