Emergency preparedness - getting EMS certified?

I am an EMT-I here in wyoming, I actually did it as a part time gig and ended up getting pretty involved for several years.. but a EMT basic will give you some great knowledge about basic life support. I recommend it

WMI runs a wilderness EMT course (as well as WFR, other variants) out of Pitkin CO. Part of the course includes time in the Grand Junction ER. My wife took the course nearly 20 years ago as her path to become an EMT. WMI is highly reputable, on par with NOLS.

For most, WFR would probably be enough - but with me...I've done my part to keep her skills current for the last 20 years. And always glad she is there to fix me when I return broken, or knows when to call the full-time pros.
