Has anyone use 'Hunt Data maps'?

Just picked up 2 of these maps (at Cabela's) for a Colorado OTC unit I plan to archery hunt this year. They look pretty cool with different areas highlighted for heard ranges, migration corridors & such. Neat tool for leaning a new unit.

Realistically I know the elk go wherever they want. How accurate do you think these highlighted areas are?

Also... I can only image this would attract other hunters to these areas also, pressuring elk.

What are your thoughts?

Any published info could attract more out of state hunters in my opinion. I'm not sure how accurate the published herd patterns are. How much are the maps? I basically collected all of that data online and built it into Google earth files but a pre-made map would certainly have been easier.

$30 each. Overall I'm impressed with the quality of paper & data displayed.

I've seen them correlate somewhat with a good area in co....but its also the same info the CoDOW puts out for free on their maps page- have you looked at that?

Heres the deal from a guy thats archery hunted Co for decades; Its all about hunter pressure in co otc. You have to find the pockets that elk use to get away from hunter pressure....and you have to be there at first light...and stay until last light- if you are in camp during either- you limit your chance for success by a large margin.
