Elk Bullet for 300 WSM at 400 Yards or Less?

Only shot one elk with my 300 wsm. 180 grain accubond at 10 yards. 1” exit hole and shredded everything internally. I know they will work well at 400 yards from deer I’ve shot

I will buck the trend and say that I have been handloading the 185 bergers in my 300WSM for years and it has proven to be quite deadly. I honestly do not think you can go wrong with any one you pick and I would go with what your gun shoots the best and put it in the boilermaker and be done with it...

I used 165gr federal trophy coppers in my 300WSM this past season and dropped 2 antelope a mule deer and an elk. All went down with one shot within about 20ft and a massive amount of blood on the ground. I am very happy with that round
