Elite Energy 32 shooting issues

I bought a slightly used Elite Energy 32 (the previous owner had the strings twisted at different amounts) and I have a new Montana black gold assault mounted with the 1st and 2nd axis' set. Since the day I had the bow set up, I kept shooting left (before sight axis' were adjusted) and i figured it was just the black gold axis' not being set yet. Now I have been shooting the bow with the axis' set and am still shooting about 5" to the left and cannot figure out why. There is a very slight cam lean on the top and bottom cam but nothing drastic. If someone could shed some light that would be great.

Is the sight out of windage adjustment? How does the bow shoot through paper? I am assuming the cables and string have been brought back into spec? The cam lean is not an issue and a product of the cables being on one side of the binary cams. What is the center shot set at? Sometimes its not unusual to adjust the cam shims but you should have everything else dialed in first to make sure. There is a lot to cover to find out what you have going on. We will need some more info on your setup.

Thanks for replying. Bow is 60 lb draw weight and 30.25 inch draw length. Have not shot through paper yet, that I will do tomorrow and report back. The only concern I have is that the center shot is set to Elites spec and the Windage on the rest is centered. I can confirm i am not torquing the bow and my form is consistent by my groupings. Yes the sight is pushed all the way to the left and still shooting way left. What I don't understand is how I'm shooting left when everything is centered...

Yeah, we need more details- but I would bet you money you just need to move your rest. To confirm though you will need to tune- paper, walk back, bareshaft- pick one. lots of details/videos/descriptions on each of these. string twisting will only change brace height and DL and cable twisting only adjusts cam timing. I would seriously doubt its a cam lean issue- All E series have cam lean as stated above- its part of the binary cam. Is that 5" at 20yds? what rest are you using?

One other thing- when moving rest- move very small amounts at a time: i.e: if your arrows are hitting left- move rest right like 1/32 or 1/16th.

Thanks for the advice. I will try paper tuning tomorrow and come back with results. Yes this is at 20 yards and I'm using a ripcord code red.

Let us know how it paper tunes. That is a ways to the left though. I am not very familiar with the Montana Black Gold sights so I don't know how much adjustment they typically have. Also what spine arrows and what components? How much point weight?

I more often bare shaft or walk back(French tune) anymore. Paper is a good starting point to get the rest dialed in close but I seem to have better luck with broadhead flight with the first two methods I mentioned.

I think they recommend 3/4 out on the rest , ill have to remeasure but i think mine tuned best at like 13/16 almost 7/8 to center of arrow shaft and 1/16th nock high. It took me awhile to figure the grip out , its the most finicky bow I’ve ever owned i almost gave up on it. I could not get bullets but walk back turned out good and bareshafts are real close i ended up with the cable guard around 6 oclock

Black gold assault is the newest model out and has micro adjustments on the first axis and windage/elevation. I'm using easton axis 340's, was looking to switch to easton deep six xd's at a 400 spine. 100 grain tips

Mine is set at 3/4. Thanks for the advice, this bow is turning into more of a job than a hobby...

I've never had an elite tune with the sight, rest and string all in line when looking down them. I have always ended up with my pins slightly outside of what would be inline. If the sight doesnt have enough adjustment for this then i think there is another problem that needs addressed.

I believe I've covered about every possible problem with the setup and the only conclusion i can come up with is that the sight needs a longer windage adjustment
