I do a 27 - 40 - 50 - 60 - 70 yard setup on my 5pin sight. I think I heard about this setup on the exo mtn gear podcast from Steve. Really like it. The 27yard pin is close enough (within a couple inches) at any yardage below 40

I made the exact switch three years ago. MBG 3 pin slider 30/40/50 and slide off the 50 pin. Simple stupid in my opinion.

What is your "home" position on the slider? Is it top flush, or do you go all the way up with it? I'm planning to do the same setup with my 3 pin MBG, and in theory I'd like to have the option to dial the float pin up to specific distances (e.g. for TAC events or similar)

I run the sight all the way up, not flush. Gives me the most out of the sight with the set up I shoot. Lets me have fun all summer long shooting 3D.

I used a 25 locked in last year. I’m only hunting whitetail. This year I bought a black gold rush 5 pin. Removed 3 pins. Set a 25 and 30. If I ever needed to shoot longer I can always add pins back. I do shoot a heavy arrow (583) and practice pin gap allot. I ahoot heavy for a quiet bow. Before the debate starts
