Elevated Trail Cam placement?

I made my own mount with an eye screw eye bolt connected with a bolt and wing nut. Lookup diy camera mount spent $3 at the hardware store and spray painted it brown

I did that years ago and they were a PIA compared to the store bought ones. They do work though

I use a climbing stick with aider and hang them 10-13ft. Even at that height bears tear them up lol. Some can't resist the smell of plastic. I use these mounts

Same as others, take a climbing stick with me put them up high. Had 2 down low this year but python locked. One got stomped to pieces and the other someone unscrewed the antenna so it couldn't send pics. Got reminded why I hate people.

I just take a bunch of wood shims with me to angle it down. Around here you can't use screw in steps/mounts on public. If it's private you need landowner permission to use them; damages the value of the tree.
