eldm vs eldx bullet?

Have killed a lot of things with various caliber eldx. Only issue I’ve had is when they impact too fast. I’ll define that of north of 2900fps.

Below that they leave a golf ball exit in my experience and great blood trails.

147 ELDM in 6.5 prc at 2950 works with zero drama. Lots of deer at various ranges, and a huge cow elk bedded at 305 yards. Put the bullet just ahead of the hip. Bullet went through full paunch, liver, got parts of both lungs, and base of the bullet was just poking through the hide near the clavicle. She stood and barely even straightened her legs before tipping over. Can’t really ask for more 🤷‍♂️ especially when you have four hours left of the hunt trip

I was just fixing to ask a question about how the ELDM performs with a quartering shot from a 6.5 PRC, at a more traditional distance. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'm pretty happy I can use a 6.5 PRC with a 20" barrel and a suppressor instead of my 22" Tikka Superlite without any muzzle device slinging 180 accubonds at 2800. I haven't ever shot an elk yet, but that was my first hunting rifle I bought like 15 years ago... Now I'm saving my pennies to spin that barrel off and get it chambered in a 6 CM. I think I'm sold on using the 6.5 PRC for elk at this point. Still a little difficult to spot impacts at 100yards, but night and day difference between it and my 30-06 Tikka. I think the 6CM would be alot easier to do that for the whitetail I hunt out east.
