So I bought a 7 PRC this past summer and after much thought, research, and deliberation, I settled on the 180 ELD-M as my load of choice for this season. Well, I just finished up the year with the rifle killing 1 bull elk, 3 whitetail does, 1 whitetail buck, and 6 hogs ranging from 30-200 lbs. Here is my complaint: My tracking skills are going to deteriorate rapidly because the total combined distance traveled by all 11 animals might have been 30 yards total. Critters just don't move when that bullet hits them :D. Anyway, thanks to all the Roksliders that recommended them!

Whoever said match bullets don't kill hasn't tried them. They are my favorite 6.5 bullet. It's the light switch on whitetail even at almost 400 yds. Id have used them farther but 375 is as far as I can see on my farm. Honestly the 6.5 creed with 140 eldm outperformed the 6.5prc with 135 bergers this year. Now the Berger did its job in 20 yards, and exited, but the hornady just piled it up.

Exactly where I thought this was going to go 😂

I have tracked about 23 kills now over 8 seasons with 6.5 Grendels and factory 123gr eldm and 7 species of alberta game from 10-420 yards and I wanna say average shot distance around 170 and average recovery distance 11-ish yards. Bears, both deer, speed goat, sheep, moose, wolf.

Spending time now with 308 and 168 eldm factory while kids still use Grendels and I think only one 15 yard recovery and ~4 drt’s so far on that one to 275. Bear, deer, moose and speed goat.
