men , I was playing around with the idea of picking up one of these scabbard type packs as in some areas I carry a backup.
If you got one, chime in please and tell me how you feel about or should i just get a scabbard and attach to my kif?
thanks men

My buddy has a gun runner and it seems small to me. But I think it would work good as a day hunt pack. But on the other hand, some people can get by with hardly anything in thier pack.
Fatrascal.

I used a gunrunner as a day pack for one season. With the scabbard and narrow design I never could make it feel laterally stable. It always seemed to be swinging back and forth, as the weight increased so did the movement.

I have to think the main cause is the void created by the scabbard even with a rifle in it.

Ditto. Not very stable and the waist belt is wimpy. That being said, it works great for run and gun competitions although I put a larger waist belt from kifaru on it. If one was not going very far or carrying too much gear, it would not be too bad.

Had the gun runner and it sucked. To narrow flopped all over the place. The gunslinger models options are better. I basically gave that gun runner away, I felt too guilty selling it for more that like 50$
