Eggs are expensive. Have you changed your breakfast because of it? What are you eating?

We are fortunate as our family has a dozen laying chickens and we have had them for years. We are actually now using our eggs as points of barter...who knew this would ever happen??

Breakfast consists of eggs, meat, coffee, potatoes and a bread of some sort to sop up the egg. Gravy is recommended but optional

Average people when they disagree with the people or party in political power:  Why is everything so damn expensive?!?!?!?!
Average people when they agree with the people or party in political power:  Who cares about high prices anyway?
It is obvious to me that most of the people that I have ever spoken with have no clue how the economy works. And that's saying something because I am an idiot who has no clue how the economy works.

You all have very cheap eggs. $12.00 a dozen, Almost $20 a 18 count. I don't eat eggs for breakfast.
I bake with mine and thank the good lord for a neighbor with chickens. But they haven't started laying hard since winter. So very careful what I'm baking.

I think it’s funny that since the price of eggs has gone through the roof, all of a sudden I’m craving eggs.

We go thru maybe 2 dozen a week in my house. Extra 20$ a month from a year ago... Guess I should stay an extra minute at work each day to cover it. It's a non story in my household. Much bigger things to worry about than 5$ a week extra. Fwiw, I eat the poverty jumbo white eggs, not the high class organic brown ones.

You come up with that all by yourself? :ROFLMAO:

Went into a Chef's Store, or whatever they call themselves this month... and eggs were 49.99 for 5 dozen. Not the end of the world... I eat 3-4 eggs a day and not going to change :)

I eat way more eggs than ever before. But that’s mostly because we moved 6 months ago and got chickens.

Having chickens is a bigger investment than some folks claim it is (more so the time, and mandatory daily chores than the $), but I’m stoked on eating awesome eggs daily.

The price surges on eggs are asinine. Mostly corporate greed, only 10% of laying hens have been culled.

3 hens allowed in backyards here in St Louis city. I suspect to hear clucking from more than just the meth addicts now
