I recently bought a CVA Accura V2 nitride .50 cal for both deer and elk hunting here in Utah. Last time I hunted with a muzzy, magnified scopes were not yet legal in Utah. I will likely be running BH209 and a 250g Barnes TEZ. I will be hunting varied terrain from the thick woods to wide open spaces and would like to be prepared for 200-250 yds. shots. Was thinking about purchasing a scope since I've got no extra scopes lying around. Is there a particular scope or reticle that you guys have found to be especially effective for your muzzleloader pursuits? I guess any rifle scope could do... but am wondering what you guys are running on your smoke poles.

I just put a vortex 4-16x44 viper HST and I'm shooting 700 yards with 327gr Parker match hunters blackhorn 209 and magnum sub bases from muzzleloadingbullets.com on my CVA accura V2. Killed an elk at 538 last year on wasatch but I was running a 3-9x40 then

I have a Vortex Diamondback 4x12 BDC on each of my muzzleloader and they work pretty well with their calculator.
