Does anyone know how the sizing is on the Kuiu Venture 2300 pack is? I am considering buying one for my whitetail/day pack. I wear a size 40 pants so I wanted to make sure the belt on the pack would fit especially when I have layers on. Thanks.

I’m a 38-40” waist also and the Kuiu Venture 2300 belt (fabric and foam part) isn’t long enough (or provide enough wrap around the top of my pelvis) to hold any weight. That belt is used more for stabilization rather than making the pack weight bearing. I couldn’t carry more than 20-30# without weight on my shoulders driving me nuts.

This. After receiving mine Sunday, the belt is long enough to fit Lord knows how big a waist. I like the extra material and webbing management Kuiu put on this pack belt.

But, just like Bill Brown said, I’m a 38 inch waist and the padding on the belt simply isn’t long enough to carry much weight. That’s fine as I didn’t buy it for that.i bought it to use when carrying my saddle stuff when hunting ground that an atv is used to retrieve game. But, walking in is how it will be accessed. If you

Pack manufactures could learn something from the extra webbing Kuiu put on the belt though. It’s nice when layered up to have enough webbing left to get a good hold on when tightening it up. I never have figured out why this isn’t an option on framed packs. It’s a handy dandy feature for sure.

FWIW, KUIU is so close to the perfect internal frame pack with this offering. If the pack had longer pads on the belt, you could haul a heck of a load of deboned meat the first trip out.

Listen up Kuiu employees that visit this site. Build the belt to fit like your framed pack belt sizes fit versus the one size fits all padding and you just roasted the competition with this pack. It’d be the perfect day pack/first load pack for any hunting. Out west or in the east. Get this right and it’d be hard for any hunter not to purchase it.
