4 separate pieces, no actual fabric used, done on water soluble backing with a 3D satin stitch, 3 different shades of white, sewn together and the beads also attached with fishing line.

Coolest, most original thing I've seen on here in a while. In Germany the hunters make these out of fox teeth.

Neat! I had never heard of that before.

I'm a Hollander, so dunes are more the tall peaks I grew up around. But deep down I'm a mountain boy at heart.

I'd had the idea of sewing this on the side of a cap, as a bit of an homage to Gebirgsjagers. But it's a little too big for that. May try to do another one about 2/3 or 1/2 size.

I've been having a blast with embroidery, and to a large degree it's just about trying what's possible, striving to learn more, push the envelope, etc. This was one idea, and beyond anything, I just wanted to see if I could do it.

Lived and hunted in Germany for 3 years.. the Alps where amazing. But I felt right at home in the swarzwald with the roaring stags!

I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit Holland as well. Like you said it is flat, but still a beautiful country.
