I noticed that Eddie Bauer now is offering a Lined Guide Pant. I'm wondering if anybody has tried them, yet. Are they the same as the Guide Pro, just lined? I notice they are not marketed under the First Ascent name like the Guide Pro is. Any feedback?

Since it's a polyester lining I wonder if it will take away from the spandex blend stretch of the shell. I need the stretch to fit my thighs, so I think I'll hold off until I can try in store.

I have similar concerns. I can hardly wear long underwear under the Guide Pro pants.

I need to return an online only rain jacket that I ordered to check out, so hopefully they will have some in store when I stop by tomorrow. I will let you know.

I'm surprised that anybody with even average sized thighs can wear those things. I tried 36's and could barely get the pants over my thighs and I'm skinny (6'6"/210). The 38's open up a bit but they still wear like skinny jeans look.

Just tried these on. They are tighter as I suspected and I would need to size up and cinch a belt. They are very warm and comfortable. If you like your guide pants than you will love these. Very thin fleece lining sewn, not laminated, into what seems like normal guide pants. Even though they were too tight for me my movement wasn't really constrained.

I must have skinny legs since they fit pretty well. I agree that they are snug, but not too tight and they've done a great job at keeping me warm on cold windy days. I'd suggest that if you need to wear more than these AND a very slim baselayer then you need to go up a size. If you need something equivalent to a guide pant plus a baselayer than you're good to go with them.

Well, getting pants to fit me in the thighs, hips and glutes is a common problem for me. But they do seem designed to fit pretty tight through the thigh which might lead some to not like them. The pockets are very accessible even though they fit me like a pair of yoga pants, which is what leads me to believe that they are designed to fit tight. Usually when I buy a pair of jeans I can't fit anything in the pocket for the first couple days until they stretch out a bit.

Was just gonna post asking if anyone tried these. My wife spotted them in the catalog we got last week. I may have to try a pair. Wish they had a green color though.
