Looking for a comparison between the two of some of you have worn both! Recently picked up a pair of the guide pants cause I’m sick of ruining attack pants at work so far they are fantastic before ordering more I’d like to hear if the trek pant from Eddie Bauer is of the same quality as the guide pant? Thanks

The Costco versions are much more relaxed fit. Not nearly as trimmed. Horizon guides are a good choice if you want to save a few bucks. I actually prefer them.

I have both. Treks are ok but not nearly as good as the guide. The trek don’t have pockets and the waistband is fatter and uncomfortable.

Stick to the guide pants. They are my favorite all around pants.

All EBs hiking pants are the same material and stretch and the only real difference I've found is cut. I have the guide pro for casual and to have cargo pockets when out hiking. I wear the horizon guide slim during summer to be able to role those up when it's hot. Also wear the 5 pocket version for work since they look like regular khakis. One thing I've found is the front pockets are much deeper in the horizons for my phone since there isn't any cargo pockets getting in the way. Can't really go wrong with either. Make sure to wait for sales. I buy all my EB stuff when it's 50+% off.

Agreed. People who buy EB full price probably shoot Vortex too.

Thanks for the replies that’s kinda what I was thinking is just sticking to the guides they are a nice pant for 50 bucks. I still love my KUIU attacks but for wearing daily to work I’m a little disgusted that I didn’t find these sooner a lot of money wasted to just work in comfortable pants! Where have you guys found the best place to snag a deal on the Eddie Bauer?

I got 3 pairs of the eddie bauer ones from costco in December, and then a Costco version pair. I haven't worn jeans since then. The costco version ones are way slimmer, I'm skinny and even on me they are borderline too tight. The eddie bauer ones are great. I got mine on sale for $15 each

I have a local outlet, but also just sign up for their email list and look for sales. The best is 40-60% of their clearance items. Just got a puffy and a pair of guide pants for a total of $50 I think. Great deal.

I have five pairs of Horizon Guides and one Guide Pro. Never paid more than $35. Most were $30 or less. Just have to wait for sales and join adventure rewards to get coupons.

I've got 4 pairs of Costco and 4 of regular guides, my wife calls them men's yoga pants..

I love them.

Agreed the guide pro are awesome, and available in long inseam for tall guys like me (6'7")....buy em on sale for $40-50 and its a great deal. Love em.

They are making a work pant version that has some sort of double front like carharts. Got a pair on the way

I bought 5 pair of guide 3 years ago and all but 1 is still going strong. One pair had a zipper go bad. I took it to the store and they replaced it, no questions asked. Love the lifetime warranty.

I wear these pants to work every day. I only wear jeans when I go out with my wife.

These look pretty similar to the FL Sawbuck.. I thought about snagging a pair but decided to pass b/c the regular pants are tough enough the way it is.

I have a pair of the EB Trek pants I picked up from Costco. For the price they are awesome early season hiking/hunting pants. I should have bought a few more pairs as Costco seems to be out of them or they no longer carry them.
I'd really like a couple more if anyone knows where to find them.

Anyone have the guide pro's and the lined guide pro's? Is the fit the same between the two?

I have a pair of them and really like them. One downside is that I have had the stitches come in done in the pocket areas. I took a lighter to snuff the ends hoping to eliminate it. I guess it will happen. I have a solid 50 miles hiked/hunted in these pants.

I love the Guides wear them for work everyday and have been for years. (I have at least 10 pair) Does anyone else have issues with the stitching on the pockets. (same as ArcherAdam) Almost every pair of mine develops stich issues (below the label) at some point. I've never returned a pair, just relegate them to yard/hunting duty when this happens. Other than that they last forever.

I did pick up a pair of the double front ones and like them alot. Will probably try them on a Desert Sheep hunt in the future. I also wear the lined Guide pants all winter. The lined ones might be a little more snug than the regulars, but I still wear the same size. I have not tried the "Treks".

They'll replace them for free if you take them into the store. They'll even replace them if they're pilled or snagged from brush busting.

I have the same thing with a pair of my guide pants, stitches on my right pocket coming out. I didn't really care as I only paid $32 CAD on clearance this spring, but heck might as well stock in at a store and get a free new pair. Thanks for the heads up!

I almost bought some hunting brand pants but I absolutely love these pants for 1/5 the price, breath good, super light, fitment is good. I think I'll try the lined pants for this winter.
