Did a search and didn't see a thread on this can, so sorry if this ground has been tread before.

Echo Zulu and the Altitude 30 in particular haven't really been on my radar previously, but y snagged my attention in the latest Juicey video on 30 Cal cans.

Obviously it's pretty high backpressure and wouldn't be great for an AR, but for dedicated bolt gun hunting use, it seemed to compare favorably performance-wise the CAT JL and Sig Tincan considering it's a few inches shorter, half to a third the weight and $150 - $400 cheaper.

Stats and use case seems similar to something like an Airlock, but with a hub mount, which I prefer.

Length - 6"
Width - 1.5"
Weight - 6.5oz
Rated - 300 RUM
Thread - Hub with included 5/8x24 DT mount
Price - $750

Has anyone gotten hands on and compared performance to other standard cans?

Curious on the feedback too, as this is a nice looking setup for the weight and money. Wish they’d get a bit more detailed on their barrel length restrictions on the site, unless I just missed it.

I personally know them. They know what they are doing when it comes to engineering cans. They also have a top 5 M-4 (5.56) can on PEWScience.

I have personally held one and have seen the internal stack geometry. Yes, it's as good as you are thinking. :)

Same. I have a b&t Ti can on my 300 blk rattler. Could this handle that too?

The owner messaged me back very promptly and seems like an incredibly nice and helpful guy. He said the Altitude 30 would easily handle a 25 PRC from 20-22” which is my use case.

Similarly, called them today and the guy I talked to was really cool, not in a hurry to get me off the phone or anything, willing to answer any questions and discuss.

He said in general the only real limits they have are 20" for the big magnums, and 10.5" for 5.56. I did ask him about my 19" 7mm PRC, 18.5" .30-06, 18" 6.5 CM and 16" .308. He said all of those were fine for the Altitude 30, and are the kind of hosts they use and designed it for. The only thing he said they were hesitant to rate it for was 7mm Backcountry due to the higher pressure and short barrels a lot of folks are running. Sounds like there should be a restock pretty soon, I'm thinking I might give one a go.

Hmm, I wonder how it does on 300 blackout. Theres not a lot of comparisons out there with this can right now.

In the video I posted, it has a little FRP on subsonic .300 blk, but on subsequent shots seems to be approaching the CAT JL suppression wise, which is quite impressive if accurate.

Echo Zulu has the Altitude 30s in stock on their website now if anyone is interested.

I’ve got one enroute and will do a mini review on here. Excited to see these.
Do you have other cans to compare it too this can looks promising with the sounds weight and price

Yeah, I I have a Resilient Jolene S and a OCL Polo 30. I’ll make videos, which really don’t ever seem to show much for sound suppression but will at least give an idea.

Will also (hopefully) have the chance to participate in a suppressor comparison shoot day here somewhat soon, and get to see how it sounds against cans like the Airlock, US OG 6.5, TBAC UL7…

Just got a 4 day approval on my Altitude 30, over the weekend to boot. Hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow and put some rounds through it Friday.

Got out this morning real quick before I take the kids on spring break. Overall thoughts so far…. It’s really really good. Shot it on the 25 PRC and 6.5 Creed and it has a very nice tone, at least to my ears with muffs on, and with a lot of feedback nearby (metal canopies and my truck). Recoil suppression on both rifles was very good as well. I’ll do a better comparison between the cans I have when time allows.

One thing I noted right away, was that accuracy with my 25 PRC was much better than that rifle with the OCL Polo 30, whether that’s due to weight of the cans and barrel harmonics, or something else, I can’t say, but it was noteworthy.

I picked my Altitude up after work and snuck down to my range after I got home for a few quick shots on my 18.5" .30-06 and 18" 6.5 CM before it got dark.

First impressions are that it's very light and pretty compact, and sounds damned good for the size. I compared it back to back to a Liberty Sovereign on my .30-06 and an OG Nomad Ti on my 6.5. I don't want to get too excited and oversell my new toy, but I'm pretty sure it outperformed the Nomad on 6.5 (which is no slouch) and also sounded a little better than the Sovereign on .30-06. The Sovereign isn't a new or terribly popular can, but it was my first Ti can, was my main hunting can for a good while and is a decent performer. I used to shoot at the same range as TBAC used for a lot of their testing and the Sovereign on this .30-06 with these book max loads once metered at ~138dB, 1 meter to the side of the muzzle on one of of TBAC's BK2209 meters .

I need to shoot more, ideally probably not in the woods to confirm what I heard, but I am quite pleased as this point, especially for the $749 shipped that it cost.

Here are all three cans.
