Eberlestock EMOD

I added a few molle pouches to the F1 for a few things I always want with me and a water bottle holder to the belt. Sometimes i just load my blind to take out for a morning or evening hunt. I have strapped a pad loosely onto the bottom and turkey and coyote hunted using the meat shelf as a back rest so it makes a quick easy chair. I also have a couple batwings that work great to keep my extra clothes, lunch, kill kit, or just about anything under 5 inches round organized. They even have a long pouch on the outside that is good for shooting sticks or a tripod. I dont know if I use it with a big bag it will be great for a back country hunt. But I'm going to find out.

I have a F1 with the two batwings and a spike duffle. I saddle hunt deep public, the pack is more than I need. I will tell ya for sure that the quality is top notch. I was really hoping to do more backpacking and a out west trip but probably never will, just a Indiana boy who loves chasing whitetail! Sorry I'm not more help.
Like you, but an Iowa boy...I have been contemplating getting either the vapor 2500 or a spike duffel. Have you had hands on or can you make any comparison to the vapor 2500 or even a brooks vs the Spike?

I can't, actually ended up getting rid of my pack. Was just too big for what I do. I keep finding myself going to a minimalist sling pack. Crazy-complete opposite. But that's how I roll. Good luck bud!

my buddies and I went to alaska this year and one of my friends is new to hunting and didn't want to go with the more well known packs due to cost and I recommended he try the emod. He loved it and I wanted to try it as well so i packed out a moose shoulder with it. I thought the pack did a great job stabilizing a load that size and it was very simple to use. I have the exo k4 and I had just packed out a hind quarter with it. when I was packing that shoulder out it felt like it didn't keep the load as high off my hips as the exo so the weight sagged pretty low for my liking but overall for the price and simplicity I think it's a great pack and brilliant system with how easy you can load meat or just zip the bag back on the frame.
