Looking for real hands on reviews of the new brute packs. There is no dealer near me to take a look at these. Primarily the 3500 and 4500. I understand they are new and might take a minute to land at dealers and also understand they have the newer mod frame as a option. I don’t love lids or roll tops which is why the brute line up is appealing to me. Any feedback is appreciated.

Interested to hear about the brute series/mod frame as well. The brute 6500 with the 15% discount is definitely appealing.

Not many real world reviews except what Eberlestock has put out.

I have been training with the new Brute 3500 and like it quite a bit so far. Has been an awesome option for a day pack. Hauls well and is comfortable

I was able to get my hands on the mod frame. It’s a bit heavier than some brands but appears to be very durable and well made. Having a bag zip to the frame along with buckle attachments makes it easy to remove and really stable. The frame itself is perfect for training. Remove the bag and throw a sandbag on the frame and go. Maybe not necessary but a cool option. Multiple bag and attachment options is also a plus.

Everything we use seems to boil down to the age old question...Ginger vs MaryAnn??

One of the things I really like about the Eberlestock line is the modularity and personalization. Seems to me the Brute setup deviates from that company ethos a bit and doesn't interest me. YMMV.

My Mod frame at it's basic setup is always like this - Eberlestock sustainment pouch with hydration bladder and extra straps molle'd up top, Eberlestock large General purpose pouch Molle'd bottom with kill kit, bags, survival bits, Eberlestock General Pouch left hip with little day items/snackies/lamp/etc, Eberlestock Double Threat pouch right hip as catch all for gloves/lamp/garbage when on the move.

With that as a base, depending on the day and intentions...I might go sandbag:

Or go Day hunt set up - Eberlestock single large batwing and a lid with optics de jour:

Or on a haul mission - Eberlestock Lid and 2 bone-in MD hinds, 1 bone-in front:

Or getting outta sight of the truck overnight - Eberlestock Zip-On Dry Bag with camp, single large batwind/lid day hunt setup over that:

Or Scouting/pre-season - Large Batwing and lid with tripod/15's, aluminum posts, and 3lb mallet:

Anyway, I love the modularity and how quickly I'm able to change setups...having a bag essentially hard fixed to the frame (Brute setup) is a complicated, picky Ginger IMO...not a I'll do whatever ya' want today Mary Ann. ;)
