Browsing and saw a few eberlestock tactical packs that looked interesting. Anyone using any of their tactical packs for hunting? Feedback? Thx.

Do they have versions with a load shelf?

I've never used one in the field but I picked up a used for for cheap for training and it wasn't the most impressive thing ever. I think they are made in Vietnam and not the same quality as some of the other big names.

Not in their tactical line of packs. I agree with the quality. I have an older dragonfly. I didnt have any issues with it when I was using it. Solid overall but definitely a difference in quality versus my Kifaru etc.

I ran an OG f1 frame for a bit. Good was the "batwing" configuration was about the best setup I've had to date. Really slick and easy way to organize your stuff.

But that was about it for good. Bad was it had no functional load lifters. Had to DIY my own. The load shelf was waaaaay too low, so it was useless. The hip belt was meh - I found when I hauled out elk quarters it bruised the heck out of me and wouldn't stay cinched.

I guess they're offering an f1 2.0 here soon, with all of this fixed. I hope so, cause they had the right idea with the first one, but it missed the mark as far as being a "meat hauling" pack.

Had an X1 for a while. It worked awesome as long as you didnt put anything in it, and stayed close to the truck.

For some strange reason I havent bought anything else that they make...
