I have bought an little things on eBay like scope mounts, picatinny mounts, and bipeds on their. I was getting bashed by people on FB about buying it and not spending 4 times more on something with a good name. I never had any any issues with the item! Any input?

Yeah specially like Picatinny rails . Ive been involved in product development and machining. The markup on some items is ridiculous

I believe the best place to sell would be eBay, larger customer basis and could sell a lot more

I’ve learned my lesson in buying cheap Chinese knockoffs of quality stuff, I’d rather pony up the money and do it right the first time.
Same here. End up spending about the same once I have to rebuy. Might as well do it right the first time.
I also have so many days I can hunt. I don’t want that one chance at an animal to fail because I bought some crap rings and saved $29.

It all depends. I used cheap stuff for a long time. It works. I have a couple rifles with cheap stuff still. It also depends on what brand you buy.

The thing is what you are buying, the tolerances you accept, the reliance you have on it, and how willing you are to mount something, shoot, and then throw it away when it actually doesn't work.

I have an ebay brake that works fine with my 300 BO, but it opens groups on a hunting rifle. I have cheap rings and cheap scopes on my .17 hmr, but I am not going to trust or use cheap rings with my long range scopes.

I have a knock off "Atlas" from ebay and a $500 bipod. The knock off Atlas works OK, but it is not the quality and usability of the Cykepod.

I got nothing against eBay. I have picked up good deals on used mystery ranch etc. but any gear that affects my accuracy, survival, comfort, or just needs to be quality…I pretty much Buy once cry once. It’s way more expensive to buy the $50 thing, realize it’s a piece of crap, then go buy the real one for 300 bucks. Now you’re out 350 for a $300 item. That being said I’m not bashing you :)

If you're OK with spending money on cheap, stolen Intellectual property, Chinese knockoffs, go for it and don't worry about what other people think. Since you didn't name a particular product I'm just going to assume you're an airsoft guy and came here for a pat on the back.

Because reliability is very important to me, i would only buy quality pic rails and scope rings. Even when it goes for a higher price than the cheap one, I prefer to spend more on quality and knowing that I can trust it to do what I want.

I bought an arca-swiss plate for a fraction of the price of a Sirui plate. Had to put it on the grinder to make it fit on the tripod.
