I sold some items on ebay and one buyer decided to make a claim stating that he only received printer cartridges and make a claim for a refund. I reported him to Ebay but they seem to be taking his side.

Anybody have any input about what I can do to stop this scammer?

I've sold a bunch of stuff on ebay and they always take the side of the seller. Higher value items i pay extra for signature required at delivery. Don't know if this would have helped or not but it takes the question out of whether he/she received the item or not. I also pay for insurance if something is over $2-300

I usually get scammed by the seller on eBay stating an empty box has something in it, when they ask me to return everything that showed up, they then deny my return for not being complete. eBay has allowed this legalized robbery once every other year for me alone, usually small items, so it must be rampant.

In other words, maybe eBay is insisting you allow the return, but once you inspect it you can claim not everything that you sent out is what came back and deny it then. Makes no sense of course, but it’s a game.

Hope it works out for you, OP. I really don't like selling on eBay for reasons like this but when I do I always take pictures boxing things up and I've heard some guys will video packing, boxing, and taping and putting on the shipping label. Of course if you were going to defraud somebody you could do all that and then remove the items but they say it helps. At this point you might already be screwed, but maybe an option like Taper mentioned could help.
