Killed this 173 inch 4x4 in Eastern Colorado DIY on private ground. Killed hum within 24 hours of ever stepping foot on the property. IT was the seventh buck I had glassed. What a fun hunt and cant wait to draw that tag again.

Yes he was the best I saw befor I pulled the trigger. I saw one two days later that probably would have scored a little higher but he wasn't as wide and less mass. Very tall and deep forks with better fronts. I'm guessing he would have grossed 175 to 180. But he was only 23 to 24 wide but real tall. My buck was 28 wide.

Lucked into it from family. Then I asked the neighbor. I had 22000 acres to myself.

Well I had a little help from Drummond. He told me a few places to look. But I still had to find the deer and get it done. It was still killed within 24 hours of ever stepping foot on the property. I do owe Drummond a big thanks for some insight.
