I'm looking for some good uninsulated bibs for early season whitetail saddle hunting (August/September).
Does anyone have any recommendations? Most of what I've seen has been for cold weather/insulated.

Edit: I'll be hunting in North & South Carolina.

Duluth used to make some out of super light flex material like in some of their pants. Didn’t see them on the website right now. Still might be worth checking it out

Skre gear has a bib that's not insulated.

Where do you hunt? Early season Texas (or Southern OK where I hunt) is very different from early season MN or Nebraska.

If temps are in the 70's to 50's, the Stratus bibs are hard to beat. They have a near full leg zipper so you can dump heat on the walk in, but have a great wind layer to protect against the wind. Pretty darn quiet too. Tho I think anything will make noise if you are rubbing against bark while in a saddle. I do not saddle hunt so I do not know how often that occurs while moving from side to side or anything.

North and South Carolina in August.
80's & 90's

Ok, 80’s and 90’s i am not wearing bibs. I do not know of any bibs that are thin enough to be comfortable in that weather.

You might do better just getting a light pair of pants and wearing suspenders if you really want the added layer of hold up bibs give.

I guess i am missing the point of bibs in that kind of weather….What am i missing?

It's more so I don't need a belt or have to deal with my pants shifting while wearing my saddle.

It's not a big deal. Just seeing what my options were, which don't appear to be much.

Yeah i figured that was the reason you wanted bibs.

I cant think of a “light” pair for those temps. Even the stratus would be extremely stuffy in that weather (i break out my stratus bibs when its in the mid to high 60’s).

As mentioned, a pair of suspenders woupd serve hour purpose well. The sitka intercept pants and the kuiu attack pants are good light early season and quiet enough for saddle hunting. I prefer to wear my sitka equinox guard pants in those temps tho, just to help keep the bugs at bay.
But any quiet pant could work with suspenders

First Lite Corrugate Foundry pants - not bibs but gives the suspenders. Has hip zips to dump heat.
