I have a pair of these for work and I've been using them to mow as well. They seem to work pretty well. They're OSHA compliant and all weather.

I will just say stay away from Bose earbuds. They have a lot of connectivity issues and they fade in and out of reception.

I have a pair of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds and they are amazingly impressive. No issues with connectivity or reception.

Just curious if you were using Apple or Android? I have 2 pairs of the Bose QuietComfort Ultras and they've been flawless. They've got the best noise cancelling I've used, and I've got piles of earbuds and over the ear headphones.

I’m using Apple, but I only have the regular quiet comfort. They’re just terrible, but maybe the ultras are a lot better

Whatever AirPod model these are, are horrible if you’re active. I’ve got some cheap jabra that’ll stay in your ears if you were to dismount a roller coaster. The AirPods I have won’t stay in if you’re taking a nap. Well over $100 difference as well.

If your AirPods don't stay in well I'd bet you don't have the best fitting ear tips for your ears.


I ordered a set of the Axil XCOR pods to use for turkey hunting hopefully. I thought they were absolute junk. The sound enhancement had tons of white noise. They were the most uncomfortable things I ever put in my ears. Boxed them back up in 10 minutes and sent them back.

I really want something similar though.

I've got a pair of galaxy buds fe. I wear them pretty much all day everyday. Usually one in and one out when I'm on a job site talking to my subs so I can still take calls quick. Ive been remodeling my house and just finished reframing I wore both to protect my hearing shooting a nail gun by my head several hrs a day for a couple weeks now

Isotunes are spendy but work well. I beat the crap out of them at work. I just killed a pair of pros I've had for a long time and replaced them with the aware ones. Their ambient noise amplification and noise canceling is okay. In loud environments it seems to get confused and allow pass through of stuff it shouldn't, meaning I just turn the pass through off when I'm in a plant. Otherwise they work just like foam earplugs and they're limited on how loud they'll output to you from drowning out noise with dangerous levels of sound.

I bought Walker Razors for duck hunting and realized they have a headphone jack. I used them today mowing and was pleasantly surprised. That being said I got them for $32 in the fall

Previously used cheap ear buds under 3m muff and those were a PITA when you started to sweat at all.

I use Shokz headphones and love them. If I am using loud equipment, I put earplugs in for the noise and then use thee headphones for music. When I go running or something like that I don’t put earplugs in which lets me hear things around me but can still hear the music. They are awesome.

I tried out a pair this weekend and it was the first time I’d tried that style headphone/earbud and I was super impressed but I haven’t gone for it yet because a majority of my earbud use is mowing. I hadn’t considered that foam plugs plus the earmuffs would work.

Yep, it is bone induction and the ear being plugged has no impact on the sound. It’s super convenient to be able to use plugs or use without.

I suse the Bose headphones. You can switch between noise canceling and regular. Work fabulous. Long battery life and the sound is great.

Have had a pair of Beats Studio Buds for a couple years now. Can turn noise control off, set it to transparency, or go full noise cancellation. Haven’t had much of an issue with them staying in my ears. Use them for workouts, cutting grass, firewood cutting/splitting.

I have the Work Tunes Bluetooth AM/FM radio headphones and they are great. I wear them over a ball cap and under a sun hoodie when working with any yard/lawn/power equipment. They work great but won't work with anything but a ball cap. If mine broke I would buy another pair irregardless of the price. 2 rechargeable AA batteries will give you over 8 hours of play.

I use cheap low profile Bluetooth earbuds under ear muffs for listening to podcasts while running loud machinery/tools. When the earbuds crap out after a couple years, I replace them with another $20 pair off Amazon.

Axil GS Extreme 2.0. I have a problem with earbuds falling out no matter what earpiece I use, so I like the adjustable earhooks to keep them firmly in place. In addition to noise cancelling and Bluetooth capabilities, they have hearing enhancement too. You can usually pick them up for about $120 from Scheels, Cabela's, etc.

They really come in handy for upland bird hunts when you want to be able to have normal conversations but NEED hearing protection.
