My sons want e-bikes, they are 7 & 9 year olds. I’m looking for recommendations on brand, maybe model, 20 mph is the limit. Id like a fat tire model for also riding off road and in fields.

I got my kiddo a Rambo at the beginning of summer and he really likes it. We were on the fence of e-bike or dirtbike and ultimately decided on the e-bike. They have 3 different sized to choose from

I bought my 8yo next week son a 36v Mototec electric dirt bike about 6 months ago on recommendations from a friend who has 2 of them for his 2 sons. He’s had them for a few years.

So far it’s been great. It has dials for power, speed, and throttle which lock under a cover. The one I got is 36v 1200w and has a max speed of 20mph.

I’m 190 lbs and it has no problem moving me up and down the street messing around with it.

Bunch of fat kids all-over the campground last weekend on those things.

And adults, many of whom seem to think their magic bicycle will allow them to avoid the results of physics. Bound to be a whole bunch of injuries and deaths coming up from those things.

I'm convinced that E Bikes were invented by orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists.

We have some kids in our neighborhood that use them and they fly up and down the roads here.
I mean they are going much faster than the speed limit and not obeying the rules of the road at all.
A lot of people have complained about them to the local police, but they’re legal so….
Until some kid is killed or seriously injured nothing will be done.
I say give them a pedal bike, and no to the e-bike.
