Dyneema/DCF Tarps

I ended up picking up a stone glacier tarp used in the classifieds, 10x9'7" I think and ordered a new HG tarp with doors.
I spent a month sheep hunting. I used my durston xmid 2 as shelter on most of the trips, but spent one trip with just the HG tarp as my shelter. It definitely shaved some weight. It takes longer to setup than my durston, but I guess over time, it would get get better. I never used a tarp just for shade, but did set up the HG one day for rain.
The SG is plain rectangle and I found it a easier to pitch when we used it for rain either in the field or at spike camp.
I think If I had to do over again I would have put the HG tarp money toward a dyneema Durston xmid 2 and later pick up a plain rectangle dyneema for minimalist shelter and day hunting shelter. But, I'll definitely end up using the HG tarp as a spike camp shelter during early elk seasons when I'm solo.
I did learn that when using the borah bivy, I need to be on an almost perfect flat surface or my pad would keep sliding downhill.
