I get why guys use the hotmelt....it gives you options you don't have with a permanent insert. And if you are using very expensive components, it's nice to save and reuse.
I agree with MM....different strokes. These carbon shafts are pretty darn durable no matter which way you assemble them. Lately I have been using the cheap $36/dozen carbons off Amazon and as long as they are a decent gpi, above 9, they are pretty durable.
I'm just passing the epoxy info along in a "Durable arrow" tips thread.
I can back what 5 Miles said, I've seen Axis mushroom but it's usually due to hotmelt or other glue failure to hold the insert solidly in place.

		 only downside is I don't think I can match the fletching with my jig if I mess the fetching up on one. Anyways they get here tomorrow so we will see!
