Drying Water Bladder

How do you fully dry out a water bladder? I've had this one hanging nearly 2 weeks so far and still plenty of moisture inside. I've had it upside down to drain, then right side up to try to allow vapor to rise. There is no zipper, so only the little opening that the hose attaches to and doesn't allow wiping it out. There must be some tricks out there.

I put a large wooden spoon in the fill hole and turn it side ways to allow air flow with the hose detached. Generally only takes a few days to fully dry out.

I normally take my hose off and feed it thru the opening to open up the inside then hang with opening down. Always dries within a day.

Depending on the opening, I used to hang upside down and stuff a several paper towels to expand it and soak up any water coming down.

Use a baking whisk in the bag to keep it propped open and then just slightly angle the opening down. Dries in a couple hours.

I roll up a paper towel hot dog way and stick it 3/4 into the bag with the other 1/4 out in the air. That should help pull the moisture out.

I gave up years ago trying to dry them. I empty them the best I can then throw them in the freezer

I try to dry it out the best I can with paper towels, then hang upside down with a fresh set of dry paper towels to take up the bulk as it airs out.

A hack I learned from Rokslide is to put ping pong balls and/or practice golf balls (with holes) in the bladder. I leave them in the bladder in the off season with the bladder cap off, keeps air circulating and the pouch dry.

Yeah getting out as much moisture as you can at the start is the best thing you can do, if you leave it like you show in the picture (with a small puddle of water at the bottom) it’s going to have a really hard time drying. Spend some time getting all of that out through the pour spout/hose attachment spot, then you can use a blow dryer on cold setting for a bit too, but if I get most of the ponding out I can usually just leave it to air dry after that and it dries out before I have to use it again.

I wipe down the excess water with a rag then use my air compressor to blow out any residual moisture.

This is what I do - blow through the mouthpiece to get as much out of it as possible, then throw the whole thing in the freezer.
