How are folks drying gear in their Seek Outside Cimarron, or with similar hot tent systems? Are you fashioning a makeshift clothesline, hanging anything from the center pole, etc? Being a novice at the hot tent/tipi, I simply laid clothes and boots over my pack or stack of firewood to dry when the stove was burning hot. Seems like there’s probably a better method…

One guy posted a pic in another thread of a little section of irrigation pipe with an end cap on one end that they slid over the center pole and then used peg board hooks in the holes on the irrigation pipe. Looked pretty handy. Not sure on weight of such a contraption but I believe the poster indicated it was minimal.

Thanks, looks like I need to do a better job with the search feature. There’s a couple older posts, this one for 2022 is the one I think you’re referencing

That's a similar concept. Here's the link to the post I was referring to. It's post #420.

This is in my tentipi. Works amazing. Similar to a fiberglass tent pole with elastic inside. Hangs about 6.5' off the ground. Most gear is dry in an hour when the stove is going 20240914_195529.jpg

You can find something like these guys then run the line around the pole at the same time for added support. Don’t recall where I bought online but a google search should find something similar

You can buy the cone to attach the liners on the inside. The cone sits atop the pole and has about 8 line loc attachments off it you can use to tie gear onto. Thats what I use and it works pretty well. Drying gear in my cimmaron is hard if its wet outside as the moisture the drying process puts off stays in the tent pretty well. Opening the doors helps but if its raining out that draws in more moisture. I live in WA and its wet most places I hunt, there is not a great way to keep stuff much better than damp. The exception is my boots, I use the Grakksaw boot dryers and put my boots near the stove on top of the woodpile. They are always dry in no time.
