Drop Test Results - Quick Reference PDF

What if we raffled the scopes we want tried?
So we decide we want to do a GPO. Everyone that wants that done puts in X dollars (of their choice) to cover scope and ammo. You get as many "draws" as you put in dollars. After the test, the scope gets "raffled" by drawing, and Form signs it or something.
Then, on Rokslide honor, if you buy a scope that got tested and passed, you donate $5 to the tests. I think we could get some scopes tested boys.
The only thing I can't figure is that we probably shouldn't be talking about dollars, but angles of money. But I don't understand how to commutate money-MILs yet.

Does anyone ever try sending them back if they fail?

FWIW, I did ask Form if I could do this months ago, but he declined my offer. He said that people should read the full reports and not have a "pass-fail" report. I think it was because there is nuance in his reports that he didn't want lost. Or that guys would think "pass-fail" was all that mattered. Or that all "passes" were the same. It may have just been that I'm an unknown quantity to him, and he didn't want me interpreting his data for others. Not sure. Plenty of good reasons for options.
Feel free to correct me.

I did this after reviewing all the information myself and decided to share it with others, in case someone would find the information valuable. I agree you will get more out of reviewing everything, that's why a link was provided to the tests.

I sure don't have an issue with it. Just passing along my experience. B

I would support this as long as Form is backing it up - I'm also one that reads the fine print of the report. However, my contributions would be driven by specific scopes I'm interested in.

Me too. I wouldn't be interested in every scope. But that free market would also say something about what RS hunters are looking for.
This is, of course, assuming the scope in development isn't the "one scope to rule them all". I have my doubts that such a thing could possibly exist- contradictory as preferences often are.

I actually went back and re-reviewed the list and realized the only other scope I was really interested in was the BTR Helos Gen 2 3-20x42.

They did the 2-12 so I'm assuming the performance is going to be the same with the same product line. Oh well...
