Dream Ranch?

Lets say you have $5M to spend on a hunting ranch. Where are you buying it and why?

For western hunting, I'd buy a badass $1 million dollar house on a small parcel and buy an airplane, access, and hunts with the rest.

$5 mil doesn't buy what it used to..

For me that's easy. Split it between Wyoming and Montana. 100% would go to lands and not a house.

Mine would probably be in Idaho near where I currently live. Could get a pretty decent size piece of land and when coupled with OTC tags would be able to hunt it every year without worry of draw, landowner tags, etc

$5 million wouldn't even get me into the game for the elk hunting ranch I would want. It would have to be 5k acres minimum for me, and that would have to be an exceptional 5k acres. 10k+ would be more preferable in ideal archery season elk habitat.

Yeah I agree. I'm guessing you will be more like 25 mil for what I would want!

$5mil I'd keep it invested and make friends with land owners in the states I want to hunt. Much like i've done.
$50mil I'd start thinking about it. So many places I love depending on the season.

7% return is 350k on 5 mil. It would buy a lot in whitetail country and you could have crop return but I’d just do LO tags off my returns probably. That and try to buy someone’s landlocked cabin in the middle of a wilderness area or national forest where you’re one of the very few with keys that can drive 20-30 miles in to your cabin.

Lots of good options out for $5mil or less.
