2018. They offered $10.50hr to start but required a CDL, MSHA cert, 10+ yrs experience and be on call 24/7 during plow season.

Taco Bell paid $17hr during the same time frame.

That is absolutely wild! Such a disconnect. Yeah most starting 0 skill positions in my town start at 19-20 an hour

I think Adams County is up to about 19.00. The road and bridge superintendent job was open a few years ago and it payed about half of what it was worth. Especially having to deal with knucklehead commissioners.

I was on a hiring committee for a position that wanted a 4 year degree with 2 years of experience. If I remember correctly they wanted to pay 37000 a year. This would have been 21-22 time frame.

After a couple months of nobody applying we had a meeting and got it bumped to 42000.

At that time, In N Out was hiring and starting wage for basic cashier/order taker was 21 an hour. 37000 a year for full time is a little less than 18 an hour.
