My kuiu attack and sitka 90% pants both have double zipper flys. During a lifetime of peeing standing up I have never thought a second zipper would be useful.

Maybe someone knows what in the dickens its for?

HA! Man, I have some Sitka pants and you're right! It just never occurred to me. Regardless, your post just made me literally LOL.

when wearing a pack the waist belt usually covers up the top part of your pants and makes it impossible to unzip the fly with the belt done up. The bottom zipper allows access to your trouser snake.....

In mountaineering pants the double fly zip helps because you are often in a harness. It makes access easier.

this. and nice use of "dickens".

The zipper on my Attack pants broke and required replacing after 60 or so days of hard use. . . Regardless of the ridiculous double zipper or not principal I wish they would have gone heavier duty on that and a few other features. . .
