I think you may be equating nerd status to intelligence. I am not doing that. I think you guys are nerding out on chips, and I say that to imply that chips are not worthy of a discussion (fully acknowledging that I let myself get sucked into this abomination of a thread). For some comparisons, I've seen people on forums nerd out over types of font used in graphic design or print, and ribbon boards at stadiums, that sort of thing. Chips are right in that zone of so irrelevant who cares, and if one wastes their time debating chips, it only serves to demonstrate one's valuation of their time.

The main problem I have with them is my own self control, I rarely eat them, but when I do, I eat too many and have a big clump of crushed corn and who knows what else they put in them.

That’s not just a Doritos thing, it’s all chips, unless they’re in nachos, then I’m ok with it
