Husky/mal mix that will, against all odds, actually retrieve a bird. Working on wet retrieves but anything on land (as long as she sees it fall) is solid. Not too bad for a shelter mutt.


Good on yal for owing mals. Haha, I took on a husky/mal cross for training once and she was seriously a good dog, but as far as pure mals as pets, it takes a lot of dedication and patience. I adopted a Malinois that had four ”homes” before me. Could do the SAR work but could not get past the abuse he had suffered along the way. Spent his remaining eight years as my companion:

6 m/o English dog named Ruckus! seeming to turn out to be a badass water dog. We will see! Lots and lots of time the last few months and we’ve spend the last 6 nights in the water.
