I came up with a bunch, but in the end he named himself. This is Kona (he looked like a coffee bean at 8 weeks)

Not much of a suggestion, just a funny name.

My English Bulldog's name is Beans. It fits him well, and the look on peoples faces when they hear his name is priceless.

Nothing beats a good dog name. Simple is better IMO.

Family dogs in the past (that I remember anyway) have been:
Sasha - Basset Hound
Coy - Springer Spanial
Rip - Great Dane
Trapper - Beagle
Buckshot - Shih Tzu (my sister's dog)
Cy - Boxer
Odie - Boxer
Lilly - Boxer
Ace - Boxer

I moved out right after my parents got Lilly, and I got a Black Lab whom we (gf and I) named Boone

My sister also has a Boxer named Capone (who once got a nasty cut on his face after running full tilt into a truck hitch, she didn't get the joke when I started calling him Scarface) and a new German Shepard named Clyde

I have 4.
Sophia - my boy named her, I call her Sophie - Kemmer/Leopard Cur Cross
Shyanne - Shy - Jadg/Airedale/English Bull Terrier Cross
Uno - Sophie's pup, the first born of the litter and my boy kept calling him Number One. Then he changed it to Uno.
Gator - Another pup from Sophie

The pups are Cur/Airedale Cross with a touch of Jack Russell Terrier. All are mutts, but fun trapping and coyote hunting dogs.

I'm having trouble with the same thing for my new GSP male puppy...I have a few in mind. My wife and I think non-traditional people names for dogs are hilarious....like 'Kevin' vs 'Charlie', but not sure I'm going that route. Maybe something with German/Euro influence.
They are such fun dogs. Ours just turned a year old and is so damn smart. Good luck with the name.

Something short, preferably one syllable...easy to yell if they're a ways out. Like Ace, Jack, Duke...

The pic of my boy holding the traps is his first dog. Her name was Tink. I liked her, she was a good dog. I ended up accidentally running over her.

I love these dogs!
