If you make sure they’re not infected, I’d give the Glandex a try before switching up too many things. They’re just a fiber supplement so it bulks up the stool and helps clean the glands out.
Unfortunately, some dogs are just predisposed to having issues. My current chessie has issues with it. We take him to the vet every other month to have them cleaned out. It’s an anatomic issue with him. They’re just seated a little too deep in the anal canal so they don’t get cleaned out when the stool squeezes out. It’s not a huge deal, just one of those maintenance things we try to stay on top of to keep him healthy.

I’ve also looked at doing it myself, but I think it’s painful at times and paying someone else $30 to do that to him so I don’t have to is well worth it to me.
