Does this barrel have enough shoulder for Suppressor?

i just took 2 rifles in today and was told they couldn't be threaded so now I'm looking to re-barrel

Find a new gunsmith.

Kampfeld threaded my sporter barrel a little over a month ago. Find a different smith.

That is a load of BS. I have multiple sporter barrels that have been threaded 5/8-24 with a permanent collar attached that work great with my suppressors.

Here is a pic of a standard Tikka sporter barrel that has been done up like that.

Send those barrels off to Karl Kampfeld, and have him do the same.

I actually just sold a savage 110 apex hunter i had due to the barrel being to thin to thread. .58 at the muzzle and I need 5/8 x 24, there is 1/2 threads but that's an awfully thin barrel...

So the Apex hunter went to a high school buddy for his kid, and I'll find a trail hunter or simular already threaded.
