Playing around with the idea of doing a new build off of a custom action, but not seeing quite what I am looking for. Is anybody aware of an action that checks the boxes on all of the following?
  • Controlled round feed
  • BDL Compatible
  • Integrated recoil lug and rail
  • Sub 90 degree throw
The ARC CDG/CDG light hits everything but the BDL compatibility, so it is close.

I don’t know that it exists. Not many control round feed actions out there… I have looked around at all the sub 90 bolt throw actions at one point and ARC is the only company checking your boxes.

I would settle for a flush mag if that is the only thing hanging up and one doesn’t exist.

I hadn’t seen those previously but spoke with ARC today and they mentioned that the Hawkins flush fit will work with some minor dremel work. Could be a good option

MDT makes flush fit AICS mags- they feel and carry as well as any BDL.

I think you should just use a DBM with a flush fit mag instead of a BDL. If CRF is important to you I'd guess you want ultimate feeding reliability. Pair that with a DBM since a DBM is a more reliable feeding setup compared to a BDL.

Assuming this is the route I take, is the CDG still the best option? The zermatt’s offer crf but they are still 90 degree throws

Well… I wouldn’t choose either. Yes you get CRF and a less than 90° throw with one, but you also get the most unreliable, highest prone to issues trigger system in the mainstream market.
