Does some merino get less itchy with time?

Bought some Black Ovis merino last week during the sale. Trying it on, it seems much more itchy on my skin compared to the Minus33 stuff I've used. Is it a break in thing or do I just need to return these layers and stick with what I know works?

From my experience, it doesn't get better. I usually return itchy ones. Icebreaker and Ibex have worked well for me. Kuiu not so much unfortunately.

Same here. It does not break in. If it starts itchy it stays that way. Find a brand that you like and stock up. Sometimes that requires spending a little more per garment but it is worth it.
