With the high price tag for Blackhorn 209, does anybody dial in their hunting setup and then switch over to triple seven or pyrodex just for target shooting and practice during the summer?

Bit the bullet or should I say powder for some 209… might get on paper with triple 7 and cheaper power belts of similar grain weight but then sight in with my 209 and hunting bullet

Oh for sure. I use BH to hunt and Benchmark for range days.
I can’t tell a difference in performance and I can have more shots with Benchmark between cleaning vs the 10-15 shots with BH.

Check out arrowheadrifles Youtube videos for some tips and info.

I have my kid practice with pyrodex and cheap Powerbelts that I find on clearance.

It waaaaaaay cheaper.

Then we do final sight in with 84 grains of bh209 and the 350 grains fpb bullets.

Ok that makes sense to me too, but being new to it all, I wanted to make sure there wasn’t some hidden detail I would be missing if I did that.
