Do you wear underwear underneath of a legging baselayer?

Depends on weather I'm backcountry hunting or day or car camping. If I'm going to be using the same long underwear repeatedly (backcountry) then yes. If I'm dayhunting and its clearly cold enough I won't want to take my long underwear off I usually don't.

Not for every day depending on the duration. Usually rotate through several and rinse out/dry if convenient or needed. An extra couple sets of synthetic briefs doesn't take up any appreciable space.

I do as well. It helps to avoid chafing.

I always wear boxer-briefs under my baselayers. For one, it’s rare that I go all day without taking off my baselayers, often multiple times (if you don’t have zipoffs, you live in the dark ages).
