Do you wear a bino harness in tree stand?

Always hunt w my bino harness. When I get in my stand I’ll hang my pack from the Safetey bar/rifle rest in the front so I have easy access

I never wore one until i started archery hunting. Now it has become a necessary part of my kit. especially in a stand. way less movement trying to get binos, release etc. out of a bino harness than a pack

Yep, I glass a lot, and having my binos on my chest minimizes movement. Also one less thing to hang up somewhere. I pretty much always wear my harness while shooting all summer, being able to grab my rangefinder and slide it back in the pouch without needing to look down sure is handy when I have deer around me.

I always do. I'm using a regular Butler Creek harness for in a tree stand. One reason is that if I need them they are right there and I can bring them up with very little movement. Only thing I hang up is my day pack and rarely dont have to go in it while in the stand.

I have never used my binos for stand hunting whitetails. For the most part, I would never want to risk movement grab my binos. That being said, according to this thread, I may have to consider changing my ways.

Yes. I hunt out of a climber in AL. I am on my binos all the time. Since I started scanning the timber and thick stuff I see many more deer sooner. That way I am ready and not moving around. I like to have the few things I keep in my harness right there handy on my chest. Binos, wind checker, optics cleaning cloth, LRF three spare rounds and my Iphone.

I always have mine. When I get in my stand I hang them off a limb or tree step where they are easily accessible but not in the way.

I do, But it also depends on how I am hunting.
If i use a normal lock on I do. But if I'm hunting in a saddle I normally don't as the saddle bridge interferes with the harness.
So for me just depends on what stand setup I am in
I'll echo the second part. My marsupial harness doesn't play very nice with my saddle bridge. If I bring bino's saddle hunting they stay in my backpack.

Ive tried Kuiu, Marsupial, and Kifaru for enclosed style harnesses and haven't liked any of them. Not the packs themselves, just cannot like the bulk on the chest. I always end up back with one from Rick Young. I have been eye balling the new one from Tethrd though

Best way to know is to try every combination you can, in order to figure out what works for you and your needs. I almost quit using binos all together, out west and in the Midwest. The 7x on the rangefinder is very useful and eliminates a step while in the heat of the moment. Hopefully you find something that works for you! Good luck.

I use a marsupial harness and have a rangefinder on the side in a pouch and have a bag of milkweed attached to the harness to discreetly check wind. I practice archery and rifle with the harness on so it will not inhibit a shot when the time comes.
