sorry to revive an old thread, but does anyone have opinions on the affinity 3 vs 3 elite models? I'm leaning toward the upland model....
Can't speak to the 3, but I have the 3.5 and couldn't possibly be happier with it.

Also, if I did it over again, I’m not sure I’d shell out the additional $ on the Elite and probably just go with the standard 3.5. The cerakote and extended chokes are nice, but not worth the extra cash and you can pick up the same front sight for $30-40 on Amazon.I ended up with 3 of them. Bought the Affinity Elite 3.5 first for waterfowl. Then snagged a 3.5 as a backup and a 3 for clay’s and upland birds when they went on sale last fall. Theyre great shotguns and the deals at Sportsman’s were too good to pass up. I haven’t shot the 3 much yet, but I ran a pile of shells through the 3.5s this past season.

Dang that sucks, I have never had any of my affinity's have this issue, that would be definite frustration.I’ve had the 3” Affinity for 5 years now. It’s a great gun for what it is. I’ve run into a few issues that just come with the design. Because of the inertia system and how it’s similarly designed to the benelli, it’s prone to the “benelli click”. I find that it happens more often then I’d like. For example if you set the but stock down on the ground a little quicker, the action gets into the position for the benelli click. It also happens when pushing through brush if you’re not careful. Again, it’s good for what it is so long as you know what you’re getting into. I use if for waterfowl and turkeys now, but if I’m more mobile jump shooting or focusing on upland birds I’ll take another gun not prone to the click.
