Do you like where the NFL is heading?

Yeah I think they are doing a pretty solid job.

Wouldn’t mind a different kickoff format, I get it but this one is a real dud

Imo for just viewing pleasure they have the best sports product on tv right now, but I like watching football so not surprising I think that.
Yeah, that kickoff format needs to revert back. I'd be curious as to what percentage comes out to the 30 with no runback. Just put the ball on the 25 and there are no kicks.

I went to the movies, watched Green and Gold instead of Super Bowl. Black eye for NFL. Refs give Chiefs 5 wins this year. Then they don't let them win SB three years in a row. Packers have won three championships in a row, twice. Go Pack Go!

Well there turning the players into whiners and and taking away the hits.
We start at the age of 4-7 to knock someone’s head off in a sportsman way and now they punish you.
It has a risk and it pays dam well for that.If you don’t like it play 5-6 years and never work again if you manage your money.
We hunt and take risk, sometimes to the point of death because the reward is worth it.
The game last night had a nice patriotic vibe which was nice and definitely needed but im afraid there just fallowing the trend.

32.8% of kickoffs were returned this year under the new format. Up from 21.8% last season. 332 more kicks were returned. 59 returns for over 40 yards which was the most since 2016.

Football season lines up with hunting season. Not interested in foosball. Also, they make millions of dollars to play a game why would you feel sorry for them having to travel a lot? Those poor millionaires.

Honestly, I'd like to see the NFL wind down and see the talent flow to rugby. I know too many ex-NFL players who are starting to show signs of CTE and other health issues. That doesn't account for all the college and high school players walking around with a time bomb in their brains.

I think a lot of Americans could make the transition to watching rugby 11s or 7s, and not only would it spare us the health issues, but the USA would dominate Olympics and World Cup.

Rugby's not perfect, but NFL is a long-term killer.

I made the decision to not let the NFL into my house. Don't know where they're headed and don't care. I don't get up early on Saturday and watch cartoons either.

I watched a little rugby while I was in Ireland, I really enjoyed it. One time I and a friend were in a bar having a pint, and I asked a guy to explain a little about the game. He went on for about five minutes explain the game and the rules. We were just shaking our head like we understood, but the truth was he had such a heavy Irish brogue We could barely understand him. When he went to the head, I asked my friend what he said, he just shrugged his shoulder and said, I have no idea.

TBF, I think most of rugby is having a pint with someone with an accent, not knowing exactly what they're saying. Half of the people drinking and shrugging just so happen to have on uniforms and are on the field....

The NFL is technically "Sports Entertainment" Meaning this classification allows the NFL to legally influence game outcomes, similar to the WWE, and can legally fix the outcome of games.

I would they rather go back to actual football rather than 7 on 7 WWE type entertainment. Not going to happen though.

Nope. Been too consumed with the ruination of something I’ve loved for most of my life. College football.
Ain't that a fact. The lesser division one schools can't generate enough NIL money from donors to attract players entering the transfer portal. The schools can't directly pay the players, so the money goes into a fund where it then gets dolled out. Some state laws are real murky on how involved schools themselves can get with handing out the money or advertising deals. NIL is the ruin of NCAA sports, the bigger schools will get the best players.

I prefer college football but do watch a little NFL if there is nothing else to do. I do watch more when the playoffs start. My problem with the NFL (and college) is the new rules about hitting. I played safety in college and a big part of the game was trying to knock the ball loose or separate the ball from the receiver. I can understand trying to make the game safer but if they keep going they might as well play flag football. If you breathe on Mahomes they throw a roughing the passer flag.
